    Product Description

    1. Product Overview

    This product uses a sulfur hexafluoride (SF₆) load switch or vacuum switch as the control switch (installation is optional). It adopts touchable shielded silicone rubber cable joints, featuring strong breaking capacity for loaded and no-load cable currents, as well as making capacity for short-circuit currents. Additionally, surge arresters and earth fault indicators can be added and installed according to user requirements.

    On each ring network connection line of this product, a load switch or vacuum circuit breaker can be installed. Any branch circuit can be freely withdrawn from or put into operation without affecting other ring network circuits. A fuse can also be installed on the load switch to quickly break the faulty circuit; the fuse will then trigger the load switch’s release to trip, isolating the faulty circuit. This ensures the continuity of power supply for non-faulty branch circuits.

    2. Product Application

    The DFW-12 cable distribution box is widely used for intermediate tapping and power distribution in power systems. It is a key electrical device for collecting and tapping outdoor cables. Cable distribution boxes are divided into two categories: ordinary cable distribution boxes and switch-equipped cable distribution boxes. They can also be classified into ordinary type and flood-proof type based on sealing level. This product is widely used in urban areas and concentrated industrial and mining enterprise zones, and is an optimal product for realizing the cable-based transformation of urban power grids and enabling rapid ring network power supply.

    3. Product Operating Environmental Conditions

    (1) Altitude shall not exceed 1000m. Note: If the altitude exceeds 1000m, consultation with the manufacturer is required.

    (2) Ambient temperature shall not be higher than +40℃, and the 24-hour average temperature shall not exceed +30℃. The minimum ambient temperature shall not be lower than -30℃.

    (3) The surrounding medium shall be free of explosive and flammable hazards, and free of gases, vapors, or conductive dust that could damage insulation or corrode metals.

    (4) There shall be no severe vibration or jolting, and the installation inclination shall not exceed 5°.

    Scope of Application

    This product is widely used for cable tapping in 10KV power systems, featuring simple and flexible connection methods, along with high safety and reliability. The cabinet is made of 2mm-thick stainless steel, ensuring sturdiness and durability. Live parts adopt a fully insulated and fully sealed structure. If flood-proof touchable cable heads are used, the product can also resist flood damage, which greatly improves power supply reliability.

    It is extensively applied in urban industrial zones, residential communities, commercial centers, mining areas, airports, railways, wind power stations, switchgears, and large enterprises such as iron and steel, petrochemical, and cement plants, as well as in distribution networks and engineering projects. It can significantly reduce the investment in electrical equipment and cables while enhancing reliability.
